Just a note to tell you how much we appreciated the stone work you did for us inside and outside the house. While looking through the "ELAN "magazine I noticed a famailar front walk. On closer inspection it was "OUR" walk that was in the magazine. The flagstone kidney-shaped patio running the full length of our home was the focal point in the neighborhood. Over the years the pitch of the patio changed dramatically, mortar became porous, stones loosened, and water began seeping into the basement.
Ekram provided a comprehensive analysis of the drainage redirection and designed the entire patio to include a large entranceway burst surrounded by a pattern of rectangular and square-shaped stones. The stones he selected and the workmanship were of the highest quality. After complete restoration, the flagstone patio was exquisite!
Three years later in our personal excitement to extend this patio, we encountered a flagstone nightmare with a local contractor.
After a brief call to Ekrem to describe the situation which he termed a "construction emergency," he came to our home the following morning. Ekrem readily identified gross errors including inferior stone selection and quality, construction deficiencies in which water was already coming up through the newly laid mortar, individual stones inverted, and incomplete final stone washing and cleaning. Under his timely supervision, the team from Crescent worked diligently to cosmetically correct the patio extension debacle.
Ekrem's expertise coupled with the quality of the craftsmanship exemplified by the Construction Team at Crescent are unique and are to be truly appreciated.
